I gotta say, I'm not even at the parade -- just watching a bit of it on TV -- and I'm getting a little bit choked up. It's amazing to see a city so united -- and not in a "we hate [insert terrorists, etc.]" kind of way -- and excited about something. Good vibes. But I could do without the "That's a wild scene!" scintillating commentary from the local newscasters. I guess I could mute it.
